They say that each end is merely a new beginning. Nowhere is that more true than in Faerun, where mortals and gods alike shape the Realms.

Re: Epilogue

I enjoyed this story from the beginning... from Cassie and Imoens darkest times to their most joyful moments!
In the epilogue, i like the involvement of the Seldarine to keep Cassie alive (or revive her). Another great idea in your novel!
Any chance there will be a ToB part of Crumbling Down in the future?
best wishes

Crumbling Down: TOB
Posted on Monday, 22 February 2010 by T.C. Dale
Hi Randir! Glad you've enjoyed it. It's been a long, long journey.

I'm afraid there's no plans for a TOB version. The SOA version was already a ton of work and took years to write -- a TOB version would be just as much, and I don't have that kind of energy/inspiration. Also, I think that the SOA side of the story stands very well by itself -- it's a powerful, compact story with a good plot arc and characterization. While I could always extend it, it just feels a little... well, forced. Sure, they still have the struggle against the Five, but Crumbling Down has always been a story about the *characters* and how they feel; TOB is more a story about the wider world and the things beyond Imoen and Cassandra. So I don't think it'd work as well.

But, I am working on another book as well (my first original fantasy novel), so you can always check that out when I start releasing information on it. If you liked Crumbling Down, I think (I hope!) you'll like my original work as well.

As i said, i loved reading Crumbling Down, so i understand what you mean when you say the story is kinda finished at this point... but i'm sure you know the feeling when finishing a good book: really happy you read it, but at the same time really sad its over. So i hope you see the question about a ToB part as what it was... a desperate attempt to keep the journey alive ;) but on the other hand... Cassie and Im deserve their peace at De'Arnise Keep. And i'm eagerly waiting to play Imoen-ToB Mod anyway ;)

These news about a new, first original novel sound really exciting! I'm looking forward to it! Keep us posted

Thank you to everyone who has helped me by donating to the "Send me home" fund. Some donated a lot; some donated a little, but all those donations finally added up to a plane ticket. I'm officially going home.

So, here's to random strangers on the internet who have supported me more than I could have hoped. Hopefully after a few months home I'll be happier, more stable, have a better grip on life, and be back to writing.

Thank you again!
